The maximum occupancy for a celebration at Protea Weddings & Events is 200 people.

Rectangular, farm-style tables along with chairs are included in Protea’s reception hall to accommodate up to 200 guests. The ceremony chairs are provided, as well. This way, the Protea team can properly set up the chairs at the designated ceremony site correctly. 

The DJ will have to provide the sound system, although the venue will be set up to accommodate the electric needed.

Yes. There are plenty of parking spaces to accommodate your guests.

Yes! There are three hotels within a five-minute drive from Protea. Sleep Inn and Suites, Microtel Inn and Suites, and Hampton Inn and Suites.

We would love for you to use our preferred vendors as we feel they are the best for the barn, but its not required. Please have your caterers, if not offered through Protea, contact us to discuss requirements.

For the safety of our historic barn, no candles, flames, meat smokers, grills, fireworks, sparklers, etc. will be allowed on premises. Smoking is prohibited in or near the venue.

We encourage you to decorate as you wish but ask that you refrain from using staples, glue, nails, etc. that will leave marks or damage our historic beams.

Yes! We want you and your guests to be completely comfortable during your event, so we have men’s and women’s facilities located right inside the venue.

Yes! Events can be held year round. The comfort of all venue visitors is our top priority!

On the day of your event, you will have access to the venue from 8 am to 11 pm. Unfortunately due to county regulations, music must be shut down by 10 pm. The venue must be cleaned and all personal items and decor removed and/or picked up by 11 pm.

We understand that you might want to have your sweet fur babies be apart of your special day. We are absolutely a dog-friendly facility!

Antique table decor and other venue decor will be available for rent, for both inside and outside uses.
